Research Associate

This position will make a significant impact on the formulation, design, and development of Fluent’s product portfolio.  The candidate is expected to work both independently and collaboratively in small groups.

Requirements and desired experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology preferred

  • Some industry experience preferred but not required. Recent graduates with excellent academic records and internship experience are encouraged to apply.

 

  • Expertise in Molecular Biology methods (PCR, ddPCR, end-point PCR, qPCR) required

  • Experience with DNA/RNA isolation from blood, tissue, FFPE preferred

  • Experience with DNA sequencing methods, workflows, and data tools preferred

  • Hands-on experience with single cell genomics technologies (e.g. 10X Genomics Chromium, DropSeq, InDrops) is highly desirable

  • Basic understanding of Illumina library prep protocols and hands-on experience preparing Illumina libraries preferred

  • Mammalian cell culture experience and aseptic technique highly desirable

  • Strong communication skills

  • Maintains good scientific records 

  • Strong organizational skills
